Avery Business Card Stock

Avery business card stock comes in many varieties. It enables you to create and print your own business cards from your computer on high quality and professional looking paper.

You need to be familiar with Avery products as they are on of the leading companies in business cards and you will inevitably come across their products and software.

Clean edge and perforated business cards
Avery’s clean edge business cards come precut with a thin layer of film holding the cards together. After printing it is simply a matter of removing the cards from the film. This gives a very smooth edge to the sides of the card as the name implies.

Their perforated business cards, on the other hand, have perforations between the cards. This makes the edges look slightly rough when the cards are separated. For a professional look it is best to avoid them and go for the clean edge instead.

Magnetic business cards
Avery business card stock includes magnetic business card paper which allows you to print magnetic business cards right from your ink jet printer. They are pre-cut to allow easy separation with no scissors required. The quality of the cards is not bad, so long as you have a reasonably good printer. Double-sided printable laser clean edge business cards
Avery also manufactures double-sided precut business cards if you need to add more information to your card. These are for laser jet printers.

There is one variation that allows you to print two-sided folded business cards as well on precut paper.

Linen clean edge business cards
Linen paper is a special type of paper with a linen texture on it. The texture consists of very thin lines that run horizontally and vertically. It helps to add some sophistication to your business card finish. Use an ink jet printer to print on linen paper for best results.

Other factors to consider
Avery provides a complete set of tools for business card design and printing and is therefore a good source of paper stock. A very innovative feature Avery has is that its templates are built into many popular software programs.
